I had a piece of pecan pie at a local cafe and it was the best pecan pie I have ever eaten. It had a wonderful rich buttery taste. So I wanted to get the same taste.
I found a recipe that was not too sweet according to the reviews. It is a very good pie, but lacks that just right buttery taste. It still is the best pecan pie I have ever made.
I used white syrup, I think I will use dark the next time. I did use real butter.
This pie is wonderful. A keeper for sure
