Cream Cheese Brownies---Dear Me these are the BEST
1 c butter (2 sticks), melted
2 c sugar
2 t vanilla
4 eggs
3/4 c cocoa
1 c flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 c chopped nuts, optional
For cream cheese topping:
1/3 c sugar
8 oz cream cheese, softened or slightly warmed
1 egg
1/2 t vanilla
Instructions:
1. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla, eggs, and cocoa, beating after each addition.
2. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Add nuts if using. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13 pan.
3. In separate bowl, mix sugar and cream cheese until no lumps remain. Stir in egg and vanilla. Pour over brownie batter. Cut through batter with knife several times for a marbled effect.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes until cream cheese topping is slightly browned.
5. Cool and store in refrigerator.

8 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar or 1/2 white and half brown
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
cup choc chips
cup walnuts
Butter an 8×8 pan
Mix melted butter with brown sugar - beat until smooth.
Beat in egg and then vanilla.
Add salt, stir in flour.
Mix in choc chips and nuts.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 20-25 minutes, or until set in the middle.

HERMIT BARS
I have made these for years
1/2 c shortning
3/4 brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c molasses
1 1/2 c flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup raisins
1/2 c chopped walnuts
cream shortening and brown sugar. add eggs. add molasses stir in flour,cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, cloves and salt. stir in raisins and nuts.
Spread into greased 13x9x2 pan.
bake 350 for 30 min

Caramel No-Bake Cookies**
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbs. peanut butter
3 cups quick oats
In a large pan combine brown sugar, milk and butter. Bring to boil and boil for 3 minutes; remove and add vanilla and peanut butter. Let cool 10 minutes and add oats. Stir and drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.

Easy Make and Take Bars---these LOOK wonderful and easy
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup Land O' Lakes butter
1 cup Peter Pan peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup shredded coconut
Lightly grease 13" x 9" pan.
In large saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add peanut butter and vanilla, mix well.
Stir in oats and coconut.
Spread in pan.
Refrigerate until set.
Cut into bars. Makes 36 bars. Store in refrigerator.
